Rarotonga Weather
RAROTONGA has a latitude of 21° 20' south of the equator and longitude of 160° 16' west of the Greenwich meridien. Its location means it enjoys a tropical climate, with little daily or annual temperature range.
There are two main seasons, being summer (Nov-April) and winter (May-October). Summer sees slightly higher temperatures and humidity, and the winds blowing from the north-west bring more chance of rain (sometimes cyclones). Winter is warm but milder and not so humid. The winds blow from the south-east during this period and rainfall is lower.
